FROM THE PASTOR…..MY DEAR PARISH FAMILY, please take special note of THE REMAINING NORTHERN DEANERY PENANCE SERVICES which are scheduled as follows:

· Monday, April 8 at St. Matthew, Tyrone at 7:00 PM

· Tuesday, April 9 at Good Shepherd, State College (with Bishop Mark) at 7:00 PM

· Wednesday, April 10 at Queen of Archangels, Clarence at 7:00 PM

· Sunday, April 14 at OLV at 2:00 PM

· Tuesday, April 16 at the PSU Campus at 7:00 PM

Please mark on your calendars the date APRIL 14th AT 2:00 PM FOR OUR PENANCE SERVICE.  As  always we will have the assistance of many priests so waiting will be at a minimum.  As always, your priests will be in attendance at the services so please be understanding if we are not quickly available at some of the times.  On a special note, the Sunday penance service at OLV will be the last scheduled service at OLV before Easter.  Since it falls on Palm Sunday, it is our hope that we will then be prepared to celebrate Holy Week with a heart open to the love of God that we will experience throughout the various services.

DUE TO THE PENANCE SERVICE ON WEDNESDAY IN CLARENCE, ALL DAY ADORATION WILL END AT 4:00PM.

For those who want to schedule their plans for the HOLY WEEK AND EASTER CELEBRATIONS, please note the following times:

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU - CATHOLIC MINISTRIES DRIVE UPDATE – as of this typing we have reached $83,170.00 (over ½ already) on 196 pledges with approximately 2200 pledge cards still outstanding.  I want to thank all those who have participated in helping the diocese maintain their 14 charities with their contribution.  For those who have not contributed as yet, please consider doing so.  And please remember 2 points – all monies over the goal will go to complete our school improvement/security capital campaign AND no money will go towards any lawsuits or lawyers during this time in our church history.  Any words to the contrary are coming from people who have their own agenda to promulgate.  Again, thanks for all your support.

HUMOR FOR THE WEEK - “Can you play with me?” a preschooler asked his mother.  “Not now,” she said. “I have too much work to do around the house.” Taking her hand, and with the wisdom of one who has lived many a lifetime, he said to her, “Mom, I have advice for you. When people tell me to do work, I don’t listen to them. Then I don’t have work to do. It works for me. You should try it.”
