FROM THE PASTOR…..MY DEAR PARISH FAMILY…..One of my rules of thumb as a pastor wherever I have been is I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE. I try to be as open and honest as I can be, especially with our finances. Therefore, the Finance Council and I agreed that we should give the parish an update on the CAPITAL CAMPAIGN STATUS including work accomplished and work anticipated. Below you will find the spread sheet. The basics are as follows: $2,652,706 was pledged with $1,914,052 being received. $1,653,681.80 was expended with the listed projects leaving $260,370.20 cash available. Over the next 2 years hopefully $738,654.00 will be coming to the parish to offset the planned expenditures of $425,000.00. I want to thank all those who pledged, who fulfilled their pledges and who will fulfill their pledges over the next few years. May God bless you all for your kindness and generosity. And always remember, IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO PARTICIPATE!
Humor for the Week: A Sunday school teacher asked the children just before she dismissed them to go to church, “And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?” Annie replied, “Because people are sleeping.” ((Not here, of course!)
