Catholicism Series Continues: The second session of Fr. Barron’s “Catholicism Series” starts the week of February 3rd and runs for six sessions, skipping the week of March 3rd (Spring Break). If you were not a participant in the Fall sessions and would like to join a group, email slima1@comcast.net, and we will try to fit you into a group.

Adult Presentation: On Monday, January 28th, Msgr. Lockard will offer a presentation on “The New Evangelization - Key to the Year of Faith.”  This will begin at 7:00pm and last for about one hour with a time for Q and A and discussion.  I hope to see you there!

Catholic Schools Week: January 27th through February 2nd is Catholic Schools Week,  Parishes throughout the U. S. are giving thanks this week for the blessing  of having a Catholic school for their children and teens to attend. Please add your prayer of thanksgiving and a petition for our OLVCS staff and faculty that “make it happen” in our parish.

Feb. 2nd, which is known civilly as “Ground Hog Day,” is more importantly the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord, and the day on which the Church blesses candles. We will do so this Saturday at the 9:00am Mass.

Feb. 3rd, which is known civilly as “Super Bowl Sunday” is also St. Blaise Day, when the Church traditionally blesses throats. Because it falls on a Sunday this year, we will not be able to bless people individually after Mass. We will give the blessing in a general way during the Masses on Sunday, before the dismissal. For those who would like an individual throat blessing, we will do so at 2:30pm in the Church.
