FROM THE PASTOR…..MY DEAR PARISH FAMILY, below you will find the names of all parishioners who contributed to the SCHOOL SAFETY AND IMPROVEMENTS CAMPAIGN. We do this periodically to double check our records, making sure that everyone is on the same page.  If your name is on the list, I thank you so much.  If your name is missing and you did contribute, please call Chris so that we can fix the discrepancy and  update our records.  If your name is not on the list, would you please consider helping us reach our goal.  We are coming down to the finish line and we are counting on total parish participation so that come September, we will have everything up and ready to go, all paid off.  May God continue to bless us at this important time in our school history. Total to date: $1,618,495.68 with 550 donating has been raised towards the goal of $1.63 million.

This weekend, Fr. Ralph will be speaking at all Masses bringing us up to date on the status of our school in Ghana, HOLY NAME OF MARY ACADEMY. So much good has been accomplished through the generosity of many good OLV parishioners and friends from other churches.  There will be a breakfast on Sunday, July 28 as a fundraiser for the school.  Details can be found in another place in the bulletin.  There will also be a SECOND COLLECTION in the near future for Holy Name of Mary to help continue to educate the children of Ghana, helping them to achieve a better life.

HUMOR FOR THE WEEK - A woman named Edna finds herself in dire trouble. Her business has gone bust and she's in serious financial trouble. She's so desperate that she decides to ask God for help. She begins to pray...' God, please help me. I've lost my business and if I don't get some money, I'm going to lose my house as well. Please let me win the lotto.' Lotto night comes and somebody else wins it. Edna again prays.... 'God, please let me win the lotto! I've lost my business, my house and I'm going to lose my car as well.' Lotto night comes and Edna still has no luck. Once again, she prays, 'My God, why have you forsaken me?? I've lost my business, my house, and my car. My children are starving. I don't often ask you for help and I have always been a good servant to you. PLEASE, just let me win the lotto this one time so I can get my life back in order. Suddenly there is a blinding flash of light as the heavens open and Edna is confronted by the voice of God Himself: 'Edna, meet me halfway on this. Buy a ticket.' (I think I need to buy a few tickets!!!)
