FROM THE PASTOR…..MY DEAR PARISH FAMILY, please take special note of THE                  NORTHERN DEANERY PENANCE SERVICES which are scheduled as follows:

      · Sunday, March 24 at Holy Spirit, Lock Haven at 3:00 PM

· Wednesday, March 27 at St. Joseph, Renovo at 7:00 PM

· Thursday, April 4 at SS. Peter and Paul, Philipsburg at 7:00 PM

· Monday, April 8 at St. Matthew, Tyrone at 7:00 PM

· Tuesday, April 9 at Good Shepherd, State College (with Bishop Mark) at 7:00 PM

· Wednesday, April 10 at Queen of Archangels, Clarence at 7:00 PM

· Sunday, April 14 at OLV at 2:00 PM

· Tuesday, April 16 at the PSU Campus at 7:00 PM

Please mark on your calendars the date APRIL 14th AT 2:00 PM FOR OUR PENANCE                    SERVICE.   As always we will have the assistance of many priests so waiting will be at a            minimum.  As always, your priests will be in attendance at the services so please be                  understanding if we are not quickly available at some of the times.  On a special note, the             Sunday penance service at OLV will be the last scheduled service at OLV  before Easter.  Since it falls on Palm Sunday, it is our hope that we will then be prepared to celebrate Holy Week with a heart open to the love of God that we will experience throughout the various services.

With a Penance Service in Renovo on Wednesday, March 27, ALL DAY ADORATION will end at 3:00pm allowing your priests to travel to Renovo.

Next Saturday, March 30 we will celebrate FIRST CONFESSIONS at 10:30 AM.  Because of this celebration, our regular Saturday morning confessions will be held at 10:30AM.  We will have a few extra priests to hear the confessions of adults (parents). So please know the time will be changed next Saturday to 10:30 AM.

Next week I will publish the HOLY WEEK AND EASTER SCHEDULE. I know that many              parishioners would like to make plans for their celebrations, so I will publish the schedule next week.  We will also be sending out an Easter postcard with the schedule on the back so that          everyone will know what the times for the various services will be.

HUMOR FOR THE WEEK - Motherhood has truly set in when:

· You offer to cut up other people’s food

· You hide in the bathroom to be alone

· You hope ketchup is a vegetable because it’s the only one your kids will eat

· You read that the average five-year-old asks 492 questions a day and you feel proud your

          child is above average

· You use your own saliva to clean your child’s face

· You count the sprinkles on each kid’s cupcake to make sure they’re all equal

· You hear your mother’s voice coming out of your mouth

· You stop criticizing the way your mother raised you

· You hire a sitter because you can’t remember the last time you went out alone with your                         husband, but then you spend half the night checking on the kids

· You say at least once a day, “I’m not cut out for this job,” but you wouldn’t trade it for the
