Parish Bazaar: As I write this, the annual Parish Bazaar is still in the future, so I cannot  report on how it was. But I already know that many, many good hard-working people contributed many hours of their own time to make it successful. On behalf of the parish I wish to thank them, and also I thank those who attended, donated something or purchased raffle tickets. I especially thank Chris Kirkpatrick who “volunteered” to chair this event. I will have a preliminary report on the Bazaar in next week’s bulletin and a complete report a few weeks after.

Election Day: By now, we all know the results of the election and they don’t auger well for the future of the Catholic Church in our country. It seems we are in danger of becoming irrelevant on the national and state political scene. That’s a terrible waste, because we have so much to offer our society. More on this later.

Catholicism: The “Catholicism” DVD discussion groups are wrapping up the fall session this week. We will resume with the second part of the series after the Christmas and holiday season on a date to be announced. I have heard many enthusiastic comments about what has transpired in these groups. We still have a few openings in some of them. If you wish to join a group for the winter/spring session, please call the parish office or email us.
