Annual OLV Parish Bazaar Saturday, November 17.  9:00am to 4:00pm in the OLV School Gym/Auditorium.  Profits from the bazaar benefit OLV Parish and the School Improvements Campaign.  We will have Ethnic Foods, Crafts, Baked Goods, Theme Baskets, Money Raffle, Silent Auction, Children’s Games, PSU plays Rutgers on the big screen and live entertainment.


Volunteers Needed: Sign-up sheets in the Church Gathering Space or contact Chris at 814-237-7832 ext. 404 or email [email protected] to volunteer. Volunteers are also needed for setup starting 10:00am to 4:00pm on Friday, November 16. 


Christmas Crafts and Decoration:  A highlight of the Bazaar.  Our merry elves have been hard at work again this year creating a colorful array of crafts and decorations, great for home and gifts.  To help contact Pat Lutz at 466-6328 or Joy Stauffer at 234-4804.

 

Bazaar Food;  9am to 3:30pm featuring Stuffed Cabbage Rolls, Rosie’s Pierogi and Haluski, Homemade Chicken Soup, Hot Sausage with onions and peppers and Sloppy Joe Sandwiches, Hot Dogs, Tossed Salad and Gemelli Cakes.  Volunteers needed to prepare and serve the food, and clean up from 8:30am to 4:30pm. To help in the kitchen contact Deacon Dave at 814-237-7832.

 

Donations of Food, Soda, Bottle Water, Time and Talent Needed. Please consider donating 12 packs of Coke, Pepsi, bottled water products, or coffee to the Bazaar.  We’d like these dropped off at the school main office by Wednesday, November 14, so we have time to purchase any variety which is in short supply. 

 

Money Raffle Tickets: Will be sold at the Bazaar.  The price of each ticket is $1.00. 1st Prize is $1,000.00, 2nd is $750, 3rd is $400, 4th $250. Return the tickets and money to the church office, with your child to the school, in the weekly collection basket or bring them with you to the bazaar. Drawing will take place Saturday, November 17th at 3:45pm in the School Gym at the end of the Bazaar. You do not need to be present to win. 

 

Theme Baskets:  Anyone who wishes to contribute a theme basket or an item to use in a theme       basket (such as a gift card) for the Bazaar contact Pat Hopkins (238-5804) or Margaret Kowalski (238-4198).  Baskets to fill will be under the steps at church entrance.  If you have extra baskets, please put them under the steps for someone to use.  Filled baskets should have a value of at least $50. Cost: $5.00 for a book of 6 chances.   Baskets will be on display and tickets sold Election Day, November 6 in the Activities Center and during the Bazaar, Nov. 17 in the School Gym.  Drawing will take place Saturday, November 17 at 3:45pm at the close of the Bazaar.  You do not need to be present to win. 

 

Baked Goods – Please drop off your sweet tooth specialties and fruit pies at the school auditorium on       Friday,  Nov. 16,  2:45pm to 4pm or early the morning of the Bazaar.  We always need help for this tasty area.  To help, please call Becki Clark 571-3687.

 

Silent Auction.  We need items of at least $50.00 to $100.00 in value. Items donated should be new, collectable, or memorabilia and gift certificates.  The Bazaar committee will make the determination on items to be included in the Silent Auction. Live Entertainment:  If you are interested in sharing your talents during the festival please contact Chris Kirkpatrick (237-7832).

 

Children Games - NEEDED CHAIRPERSON TO RUN the games for kids 3 years to 14 years old, from 9am to 3pm.  To volunteer contact Chris at 237-7832, ext. 404 or [email protected]

 

New & recycled Dolls, Board Games, Toys, Puzzles, Christmas items, & Baby items:  For children of all ages and adults. Chaired by Karen Anstett (466-6387).

 

Pull Tab game of chance:  Will be offered for adult members of the parish.  Contact Chris to            volunteer.  237-7832 ext. 404 or [email protected]

 

Drawing for the Money Raffle and the Theme Baskets will take place at 3:45pm at the close of the Bazaar. You do not have to be present to win.
