Voter Registration Drive: This weekend, our parish will be participating in a nonpartisan voter registration drive. If you have moved, married or changed your name, or if you have never been registered to vote, please register to vote. Tables will be set up in the Gathering Space for your convenience.

For the upcoming General Election, the last date to return completed Voter Registration Forms to the State Board of Elections is Tuesday, October 9, 2012.

 

Pastor’s Reflection Session: I will offer one of my occasional presentations again this month. The topic will be “When a Loved One Stops Going to Church.” This will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 26th at 7:00pm in the Activities Center.

 

Annual Parish Novena: Our annual parish Novena to Our Lady of Victory opens on Saturday, Sept. 29th and closes on Sunday, Oct. 7th. The theme this year is “Entering the Year of Faith.” The traditional format will be observed. For more information, see elsewhere in today’s bulletin.

 

Confirmation: Congratulations to our parishioners in eleventh grade who will participate in the Rite of Commitment this Sunday, Sept. 23rd at the 5:00pm Mass. Next weekend many of them will be making their retreat. Please keep them in your prayers.

 

Youth Council: Several years ago I formed a council of High School students to advise me on matters pertaining to our teens. This year the members are : Seth Balkey, Cooper Gulley, Joseph Kolarik, Katie Mahon, Megan Robert, Erin Servey, Tess Sicree, Emily Smith, Chris Sommer, Jennifer Thomas, Peter Tittmann and Eleanor Tsai. Ex officio member is Maria Gdovin.
