Liturgical Arts We design and make any banners, altar furnishings including linens, care for the vestments and provide Baptismal garments as needed or other items having to do with the Liturgy that may be requested by our Pastor or Parochial Vicars. SOLV is an over 55 senior group that meets on the 3rd Thursday at 1:30, in the Activity Center, of most months. We meet in friendship for social contact with our fellow OLV members. A Saturday morning (7:30am) discussion group for men of all ages which provides adult catechesis through a review of the Church's teachings and doctrine from the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church. These two foundation documents are considered in discussion of current social and global issues ranging from abortion, just war, taxes and sexuality . . . and numerous others. Family Life Committee Coming Soon Bazaar Committee Coming Soon | Floral Committee The OLV Floral Committee is reponsible for changing the altar flowers for the liturgical year; as well as ordering, arranging, and maintaining flowers for Easter, Christmas, Communion and any other liturgical event as requested by Msgr. Lockard. The Committee also creates new and refreshes old arrangements as needed. The Children's Liturgy is open to children ages 4 through to children in first grade.The children are called to the front of the church before the first reading. Msgr blesses the children and they process out of the church into the activities center across the parking lot. There, the leader has a lesson and activity with the children. They return to mass during the collection. The Children's Liturgy is offered every Sunday at the 9:30am mass. We welcome volunteers to help lead this program!
